Mayflower Sounds is set in the historic rural village of Scrooby, Nottinghamshire.

This is the home of William Brewster, one of the founding members of the Pilgrim Fathers. He was born and lived in Scrooby Manor house were he worked along side his father who was post master. Whilst living in Scrooby William Brewster was one of the founding member that set up a small separatist church using Scrooby Manor as the main meeting place. In 1608, William Brewster and his fellow Pilgrim Fathers set sale from Plymouth to America after facing persecution for their religious beliefs.

The ship they sailed on was the 'Mayflower.'

Scrooby Manor has belonged to the Dunstan family since the 1950's and this associations gave us the name for our company.
